Hope Class - Small Transport

Description

This is a ship blueprint for the game "Starbase" (not Star Citizen)

Hope Class - Small Transport (Starter Ship) (Revision 4)

Lucky Industries proudly presents:

Hope Class ... is designed as an upgraded starter ship. This was the first ship I ever built, so I thought I'd share it here for laughs in case anyone wants to try it out.
Hope's role is to transport freight while offering a cozy and easily maintainable interior. You can bring a friend, collect twice the cargo, and have a bigger operation range than the starter ship would. At the same time, the Hope Class is cheap to build and operate. Don't expect a great ship, however, it is fully functional as intended :)

Features:
- dual seated cockpit
- 54 cargo crates
- messy, cozy interior (yes that's a feature, it's meant to look like that)
- Dual Reactors and 4 Medium sized Gas Tanks (16 Mio Gas-Units)
- Laser Gun Turret (pretty much for show & scare only)
- Topspeed of 78m/s

- Switchable Interior & Exterior lighting options and Transponder
- low construction and maintenance cost
- lowtech/no yolol (save a very basic power-saving script)
- designed for landing on platforms

Hope Class was around 95 hours of work and does pretty much what it was meant to do: it's a small transport designed to operate over extended periods without restocking, to get you started more efficiently - and helps you enjoy the game while at it :)

Note: Please try the ship in test mode before actually building it!

This ship is an interesting design to try out, but it's not really fast. The ship comes without a manual as everything should be self-explaining - just remember to add your transponder data on the reactor section.

Note that this is a pure transport ship, there's no mining function, and you can only mine by hand. The ship is also not meant to get into fights. There's no proper armor and the gun is meant for a scare and to hit stationary objects only.

Mind you, being my first design, the Hope Class wasn't remarkable in any way - and lacks a lot of advanced tech, capabilities, and redundancy you might know from my other ships. It merely does its job.
If you like it though, do check out my more current designs, which you'll see are leagues beyond! :)
